This is a question that has been plaguing me and my friend Dave for the last 3 years. I think the idea came to us after watching a lame ski movie where these G-ed out tele dudes were feeling the stoke after skiing at Mammoth and then driving to the coast to surf. I think one of the "dudes" said something to the effect of, "This is the only place in the U.S. where you can do something like this". Dave was instantly infuriated. 
We started pondering the idea of somehow topping this statement with elaborate schemes involving kayaks, bikes, surfboards and anything else we could potentially ride to make this "dude" eat crow.
So the question is still begging for an answer...can it be done? Logistically, I think it will be harder to organize then we realize.
People have offered to help us but I am not sure we even know what we need help with yet. We are shooting for April 6th, which is only 16 days away and at this point 2 out of the 3 of us do not have road bikes or surfboards or wetsuits or...you get the picture. The planning will have to be fast and furious and hopefully the weather we cooperate. Stayed tuned...
